LOCKSS

Open Journal Systems supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and permanent archive for journals. LOCKSS is open-source software developed at the Stanford University Library. It enables libraries to preserve selected web journals by regularly polling registered journal websites for newly published content and archiving. Each archive is continuously validated against other library caches; if the content is corrupt or missing, another cache or journal is used to restore it.

LOCKSS adalah perangkat lunak sumber terbuka yang dikembangkan di Perpustakaan Universitas Stanford. Hal ini memungkinkan perpustakaan untuk melestarikan jurnal web yang dipilih dengan secara teratur memilih situs web jurnal terdaftar untuk konten dan pengarsipan yang baru diterbitkan.
