Retraction and/or Corrections
Authors are strongly discouraged from withdrawing submitted manuscripts once they are in the publication process (review, copyediting, layout, etc.). At this stage, Mitra Teras: Jurnal Terapan Pengabdian Masyarakat has invested valuable resources, including time and effort. If, under any circumstances, the authors still wish to withdraw their manuscript, they will be required to compensate for all the resources spent on the manuscript's processing. The payment should be made upon official request sent by the authors via email to the editor, using the same email address used for correspondence.
Retraction of Publications
Editors will consider retracting a publication if:
-
There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to misconduct (e.g., data fabrication) or honest error (e.g., miscalculation or experimental error).
-
The findings have been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing, permission, or justification (i.e., redundant publication).
-
The manuscript constitutes plagiarism.
-
The manuscript reports unethical research.
The retraction process follows the guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which can be accessed at COPE Retraction Guidelines. For your convenience, the same document is also shown as Retraction Guidelines.
