Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Mitra Teras: Jurnal Terapan Pengabdian Masyarakat is an open access journal. Readers can read and download all articles for free. There are no subscription or pay-per-view fees. To cover the costs of publishing, the journal charges an article processing charge (APC) to authors of accepted articles.

1. Fees

Type of fee Amount
Submission fee Free
Article processing charge (APC) IDR 1,000,000 or USD 70 per article
Withdrawal fee Free

There are no other fees. The APC is charged once per article, regardless of the number of pages or authors. This APC applies to manuscripts submitted from 1 January 2025. Manuscripts submitted before this date are charged the previous APC.

2. What the APC Covers

The APC covers the costs of managing the peer review process, copyediting, layout, DOI registration with Crossref, website hosting, indexing, and preservation of the published articles.

3. When to Pay

  • Authors pay the APC only after the manuscript has been accepted following peer review.
  • The editor will send an invoice with payment instructions to the corresponding author after acceptance.
  • The article will be published after the payment is confirmed.
  • The APC may be paid by the authors, their institution, or their funder.

4. How to Pay

Payment must be made only to the official bank account of PT Mitra Jurnal Indonesia, as stated in the invoice. The journal does not accept payments to personal bank accounts. After paying, please send the proof of payment to mitrateras@mjipublisher.com.

5. Waivers and Discounts

  • During certain periods, the journal may offer a full or partial APC waiver for all authors. These periods are announced on the journal website.
  • Authors who cannot pay the APC, such as students or authors without funding, may ask for a waiver or discount by sending an email to mjipublisher@gmail.com with a short explanation. The request should be made at the time of submission.
  • Waiver decisions are made by the publisher, separately from the editorial process.

6. Fees and Editorial Decisions

The ability to pay the APC does not affect editorial decisions. Editors and reviewers do not know whether authors have paid or asked for a waiver while the manuscript is under review.

7. Withdrawal and Refunds

  • Authors may withdraw their manuscript without any fee, following our Retraction and Correction policy.
  • The APC is non-refundable once it has been paid, including when the authors withdraw the manuscript before publication or when the article is retracted after publication.
  • If the journal cannot publish an article after the APC has been paid for reasons caused by the journal, the APC will be refunded in full.
