Abstract

Maps are essential instruments for supporting village governance and spatially based development planning. This community service program aimed to produce a line map of Gunung Besi Hamlet, Sukanegara Village, Tanjung Bintang Subdistrict, South Lampung Regency, using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology. The data consisted of primary data from boundary-point measurements with a GNSS receiver and secondary data in the form of administrative maps and satellite imagery. The line map of Gunung Besi Hamlet was produced at a scale of 1:2,500 and contains information on administrative boundaries, road networks, rivers, built-up land, forest areas, plantations, stockpiles, water bodies, and open land. Land cover is dominated by forest areas of 27.02 hectares and plantations of 25.47 hectares, which reflects the ecological and agrarian character of the hamlet. Built-up land of 15.57 hectares reflects the growth of settlements and infrastructure, while stockpiles of 9.84 hectares indicate industrial activity. Open land covers only 1.76 hectares and water bodies 0.70 hectares. This map is expected to serve as a basis for preparing the RPJMDes and RKPDes and to support sustainable resource management and village spatial planning.
