Pemanfaatan Synthesia AI dalam Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran PAI Berbasis Kecerdasan Buatan untuk Meningkatkan Keterlibatan Kognitif Siswa

Abstract
The development of digital technology has driven innovation in the education sector, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a learning tool. In the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), innovative media is needed to attract learning interest and increase students' cognitive participation in this digital era. The purpose of this study is to examine the application of the AI Synthesia platform as a learning tool in PAI and its potential to increase students' cognitive participation. The research method used is a literature review with document analysis in the form of journal articles, academic books, and conference proceedings published between 2018 and 2024. The findings of this study indicate that AI Synthesia has several advantages, such as efficiency in media creation, ease of use, and the ability to produce engaging learning videos. This video-based media can increase students' cognitive engagement through a combination of visual and audio elements. However, the implementation of this technology still faces obstacles such as low digital literacy among teachers and inadequate technological infrastructure. This study provides conceptual thinking for the development of AI-based PAI learning media that is appropriate to the needs of education in the ever-evolving digital era.
Abstrak
Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong lahirnya inovasi di sektor pendidikan, termasuk penggunaan Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) sebagai alat pembelajaran. Dalam konteks pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), diperlukan media yang inovatif untuk menarik minat belajar serta meningkatkan partisipasi kognitif siswa di zaman digital ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti aplikasi platform Synthesia AI sebagai alat pembelajaran dalam PAI dan potensi yang dimilikinya untuk meningkatkan partisipasi kognitif para siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur dengan analisis dokumen terhadap artikel jurnal, buku akademik, dan prosiding konferensi yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2018 hingga 2024. Temuan dari studi ini mengindikasikan bahwa Synthesia AI memiliki beberapa keunggulan, seperti efisiensi dalam pembuatan media, kemudahan dalam penggunaan, dan kemampuannya menghasilkan video pembelajaran yang menarik. Media yang berbasis video ini dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan kognitif siswa melalui perpaduan elemen visual dan audio. Meskipun demikian, penerapan teknologi ini masih menghadapi kendala seperti rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan guru serta infrastruktur teknologi yang kurang memadai. Kajian ini menyumbangkan pemikiran konseptual untuk pengembangan media pembelajaran PAI berbasis AI yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pendidikan di era digital yang terus berkembang.
