An administrative village boundary map is one of the essential elements needed for village development planning. However, many villages, especially those located in remote areas such as Ampa Kolak Village, still lack well-documented administrative boundary maps. This community service activity aimed to map the boundaries of Ampa Kolak Village using a cartometric approach, utilizing high-resolution satellite imagery downloaded through open-source software. The stages of the activity included data collection, visual interpretation, manual digitization of village boundaries, field validation with the community, and the preparation of a digital boundary map. The results of the activity indicated that several village boundary segments were inaccurate and needed revision. However, in general, most of the boundaries traced from satellite imagery were consistent with actual field conditions. The participation of local residents and village officials during the validation process greatly contributed to achieving more accurate mapping results. The resulting map provides a general depiction of the village boundaries, which, while not legally binding, can serve as a preliminary reference in the official boundary delineation process.
