Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance physics teachers’ competencies in designing laboratory-based learning materials to support the development of students’ science process skills. The program involved 34 physics teachers who are members of the Jakarta Physics Subject Teachers’ Forum (MGMP Fisika DKI Jakarta) and was conducted from February to August 2025 through five stages: socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring and evaluation, and sustainability planning. The training focused on developing learning materials that integrate laboratory experiments, scientific approaches, and the use of digital technologies to support physics instruction. The program was evaluated using a participant feedback questionnaire that assessed the relevance of the training content, the quality of the delivery, and the perceived benefits of the program. The evaluation results showed that the training was considered relevant, beneficial, and inspiring for teachers in developing more contextual laboratory-based learning materials. The sustainability of the program is supported through the establishment of a community of practice for physics teachers, enabling participants to independently develop and share innovative learning materials.
